The purpose of dialogue in a film is to Establish and introduce each character individually so that the audience knows about each character them-self rather than mixing up personalities, It also helps the audience relate to a character in a show because the audience may talk similarly to that character and use the same attitude and vocabulary etc.. It also shows the personality of each character e.g. Chav, Friendly, Criminal etc.. Dialogue shows the background of a character to by exposing their attitude to their class or their voice and accent - whether or not it was good or bad, rough or clean. It can also release their individual back story - the character tells the audience by speaking with dialogue. Dialogue can also set a tone to the programme, and show the genre of the film, whether or not its horror, or comedy. It grabs the attention of the audience via amusing/entertaining the audience.

Nathan's Tone is annoying, this is shown by his attitude towards the other characters by his nagging and sarcasm towards them and everything they do or say for instance when he says "Think she likes me" towards Aleisha after she gets off the phone. He also has a very Mischievous tone of voice by the way that he uses his sarcasm towards the others, and how he puts his arm around Gary in a playful, mischievous way. He is also very laid back the way. He is also faux polite (fake polite) "you alright weird kid?", He is also very condescending.
